Feynman Cluster

Physics department maintains a Linux cluster named in the honor of legendary Princeton physicist Richard P. Feynman. It runs Linux based on RedHat/Scientific-Linux/PU_IAS RHEL7 distributions. It has a SLURM batch management system, primarily intended for research. A dedicated web server hosts personal and group sites exported from feynman cluster.

Feynman cluster maintains binary compatibility with Princeton's https://researchcomputing.princeton.edu/ the central research computing facility. We use the same Linux distribution, the same addon computational packages, the same CAS for authentication, and the same SLURM batch manager/job-scheduler. We have merged most of the common information on the central research computing web site above. Here we provide only a few department-specific notes. Some of the information given here might be dated.
